Why Obasanjo condemns Jonathan’s govt, by group

THE Centre for Social Justice, Equity and Transparency has stated that Chief Olusegun Obasanjo decided to engage President Jonathan in verbal war because he is not satisfied with his status as an elder statesman.

The Executive Secretary of the organisation, Dr. Rotimi Adeola, disclosed that, “Former President Olusegun Obasanjo is not satisfied with his role as an elder statesman but desires to be in the front wheel of this government, keeping the president under his whims and caprices, a plot which has failed, thus warranting his recent outbursts.

“That it is also known to all that Olusegun Obasanjo lacks the moral standing to criticize this and any other government as he and other past leaders had failed Nigerians in their times as president.”

According to him: “It will be wiser for Obasanjo to keep mute when matters of human right violations and violence are mentioned as Nigerians have not forgotten the Zaki-Biam and Odi massacres which have become nightmares to the affected communities till date.”
