2015: Bantex emerges el-Rufai’s running mate in Kaduna

The All Progressives Congress (APC), Chairman in Kaduna state, Bala Barnabas Bantex, has been selected as running mate to the party’s governorship candidate, Malam Nasir El-Rufai in the forthcoming 2015 election.

Bantex emerged from a list of five others after extensive consultations with party leaders, governorship aspirants and elder-statesmen in Kaduna.

It was gathered that a committee saddled with the responsibility of selecting El-Rufai’s running from the Southern part of Kaduna State selected Bantex because of his vibrancy.

Bantex is viewed as having the capacity and ability of playing a substantive role in a team many believed may likely take over power in Kaduna.

The APC governorship candidate, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, while confirming the selection of Bantex said he was delighted that a person with such calibre had been selected by the party to share the responsibility of governance with him when they are elected in 2015.

Bantex, holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Architecture from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He was born in 1956 in Kagoro, Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State and was a former local government chairman as well as a member of the House of Representatives.
