Oshiomhole recalls sacked SSG, accepts commissioner’s resignation

Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State has reinstated Pro­fessor Julius Ihonvbere as the Secretary to the State Government (SSG).

The reinstatement fol­lowed the review and resolution of the issues which led to the resigna­tion of the SSG on Tues­day, December 9, 2014.

Prof Ihonvbere’s rein­statement is with imme­diate effect, a statement from the state govern­ment said.

Meanwhile, the State Commissioner for Youths, Sports and Social Mobili­sation, Chris Okaeben, has resigned his appoint­ment in line with the elec­toral and constitutional requirements which man­date political appointees to resign 45 days before an election.


Okaeben, is the All Pro­gressives Congress (APC) candidate for Oredo West Constituency in the House of Assembly elec­tion holding in February, 2015.
