Five PDP Governors Visit Obasanjo Over Feud With Jonathan

Five Governors  on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Thursday held a closed-door meeting with the former President Olusegun Obasanjo at his Hilltop Mansion, in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The Governors are Godswill Akpabio (Akwa Ibom), Sule Lamido (Jigawa), Babangida Aliyu (Niger), Isa yuguda (Bauchi) and Liyel Imoke (Cross Rivers).

The visit, according to a source, was to plead with the former president to resolve his differences with Jonathan.

Obasanjo has of recent been openly attacking the person and performance of President Goodluck Jonathan, rating the incumbent below average.

First to arrive Obasanjo at the hilltop mansion at about 12.20 pm were the Akwa Ibom Governor and his Jigawa State counterpart.

The meeting was held behind closed-door taking them almost four hours before addressing the press on why they visited Obasanjo.
