Mimiko Charges Nigeria Military To Re-double Effort In its War Against Insurgency

Governor Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo state has charged the Nigerian Military to re-double its effort to combat the activities of the dreaded insurgency of the Boko Haram, which has crippled the economic activities of the northeast past of the country.



Mimiko gave the charge at his office in Akure, the Ondo state capital while playing host to the participants of the industrial study of the Nigeria Army college of Logistics who were in a tour of the state.

Mimiko said employing more strategies to combat and check the activities of the insurgence would help win the long war against the criminal group that has threatened the livelihood of the nation.

He disclosed that the military has been party a catalyst for the survival of the economic growth and national development of the country hence the need to re-engineer their intelligence gathering.

Responding, the Commandant of the Nigeria Army College of Logistics, Major General Abubakar Mustapha Gana who led the delegation said they were in the state for the tour of abundant natural resources.

He, however, sought a synergy between government and the people of the country for the realization of economy growth, unity and national development.
