Ibadan Has Transformed Into Modern City – Ajimobi

Oyo State governor Abiola Ajimobi yesterday commended the Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Samuel Odulana Odugade I and the Olubadan-in-Council’s support for the administration’s environmental sanitation and urban renewal programme which he noted had changed the face of Ibadan from being the dirtiest city in Nigeria to a modern capital city.

The governor expressed deep appreciation to the people of Ibadan land for their unflinching cooperation and support for his administration in the last three and a half years, while addressing the people of Oluyole Local Government Area yesterday as part of his working visit to all the 11 local government areas in Ibadan land, saying this had helped tremendously in the achievements so far recorded.

The governor particularly said that the removal of traders from the streets within the Ibadan metropolis was part of his administration’s efforts at improving on the aesthetic quality of the city and making it attractive to both local and foreign investment.

Ajimobi promised that his administration would continue to execute projects that would have direct impact on the lives of the people of the state.
