Mama Taraba: Can she emerge first elected female governor?

There are apprehension and confusion among Nigerians as they anxiously await the official result of Taraba state governorship poll from the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

While some reports claimed that the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Aisha Al-Hassan, popularly known as ‘Mama Taraba’ is in the lead, other reports suggested that the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Darius Ishaku will emerge winner of the exercise.

If Mama Taraba wins she will be the first female elected governor in the country.
